Rules Governing LeChess Club

LeChess Club has group status on the Internet Chess Club (ICC) and members are invited to meet in Channel 340.  

1.     All rules governing behaviour and play on ICC underpin the rules of LeChess Club.  Violation of ICC rules will be taken as contravention of LeChess Club rules.

2.     Lechess Club will not tolerate obscenities, profanities, discriminatory statements or personal attacks in the group channel.

3.     Unsolicited advertising within channel 340 is strictly forbidden.  Any player/group wishing to advertise an event in the channel is first to seek permission from the President, VP (Lebot) or VP (Operator).

4.     Registered computer accounts will not be admitted into the LeChess Club.   

Violation of any of the above rules will result in those involved being suspended/expelled from the Club

Any member found by SpeedTrap to be using outside help including computer/data base assistance during play, and subsequently awarded a (c), shall immediately be expelled from the club.  Members may not re-apply to join the club even after the (c) and the apology statement have been removed.

Club members should be aware of special rules related to events that they are taking part in. These may be found on the relevant web site page.  Those found disrupting events may be expelled from LeChess Club

Club members are advised to familiarize themselves with the ICC server time relationship with their local time.  All times referred to in the club will be ICC server time that may be found by typing date into the main console.  Note: ICC server time is the same time as USA Eastern Time (New York).
