Introduction

Teams of 4 players (and reserves) are formed according to their rating. Team captains will be appointed by the LeChess Club t4545 manager.

Each team player commits himself to play one game per week for their team on a day and time that they arrange with their opponent.

All team members are strongly advised to make themselves familiar with the t4545 website

It essential that all players read the players handbook, noting in particular the time line and the procedure for arranging games in the game forum.

The t4545 league players can discuss league business and ask for help in channel 345. If you haven’t yet joined channel 345 you can do so by typing g-join team4545league into the main console.

All players are reminded to give their captains as much notice as possible in the event that they are unable to play in a particular round.

Having read the players handbook, if any player still has any questions about the playing procedures then you should ask your team captains, Invicta-Knight or ask in channel 345.

Timeline

Each round starts and finishes on a Tuesday. The teams for each round will be posted in the forum by 22:00 ICC time every Tuesday by the captain

You must be aware of the following deadlines.

Post 3 favorable playing times or answer your opponents playing time by 22:00 on Thursday. Failure to post in the forum by this time binds you to accept one of your opponents times. If you do not make contact in the forum by 22:00 on Friday then you will forfeit your game. This is bad, very bad!

You must arrange and play your game by 22:00 on the following Tuesday.

Special Rules

You must set Noescape=0

You must set AllowKib=0 (all kibitzes converted to whispers) or AllowKib=2 (Kibs in unrated games only )

You must arrive within 30 minutes of the agreed playing time or you will forfeit the game

You must not talk about the game to anyone while the game is in progress

You must not offer nor accept takebacks

You must not add time to your opponents clock

Forfeits

Forfeits have a great impact on the chances that any team has to becoming section champions. From t35 forfeits will be the first tie break decider, (in the event of a draw in the playoffs the team with the least forfeits will be awarded the match). It is important therefore that you arrange your games in the forum in accordance with the statutes and arrive to play your game at the agreed time. If you are unable to play in any round then it is important that you let your captain know in good time so that he has the opportunity to include the reserve in the line up.

If you have any dispute with your opponent or t4545 TD, or if you feel in any way aggrieved, do not post acidic or aggressive tells or messages in the channels nor in the forum, but contact your team captain straight away.

Team Mentors

Mentors can help players prepare for games by examining the opponents previous games for weaknesses in the opening and general play. They can also help players improve by reviewing their games when finished. One team session a week is a reasonable expectation although that depends on how much the mentor and the team members can coordinate their schedule, although one on one sessions may also be considered.

At the beginning of every session the player is to submit a mentor request in the normal way. You may get help by typing "tell lebot help mentoring" in the main console
